Houston, Texas: Over the past four days Houston and surrounding areas have
witnessed an unprecedented natural disaster. It has affected all of us, with tens of
thousands displaced, and hundreds of thousands needing assistance. The need is
quite frankly, enormous, but we must prevail. We must do all we can to help those who
are affected, and to assist those who have lost so much.

This is the time when individuals, churches, businesses, charities and the government
must all come together. We stand tall for those who cannot. We must bring relief and
rest to the weary and burdened - and we will. As CEO of West Houston Assistance
Ministries, I will do all I can to assist those in the West Houston area. For the next few
weeks at least, we will focus on providing disaster relief to all who need it. This will
include the provision of food, water, hygiene items, diapers, cleaning supplies,
blankets, towels, socks, underwear and new and gently used clothing.

I invite your help because we cannot do this alone. If you are able to donate any of the
above items, please call Adam at 713-993-7422. You are also welcome to drop your
donation off in person at 3100 Rogerdale Rd, Houston, TX 77042. In addition, we
welcome monetary donations which can be made through
https://wham.networkforgood.com or send a check to 10501 Meadowglen Lane,
Houston, TX 77042, marked, ‘Disaster Relief’.

WHAM will reopen its doors for food distribution on Wednesday, August 30th from
10AM-2PM at 10501 Meadowglen Lane, Houston, TX 77042. If you would like to
volunteer to help those in crisis, please call Adam at 713-993-7422.
I welcome your help as we seek to assist those in desperate need.

God bless,
Mark Brown
